After We Collided
Released: 2020
Rated: R
Director: Roger Kumble
Anna Todd's series of young adult novels took readers by storm, and the film adaptations are all available on Netflix. Each stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Tessa Young and Hardin Scott, respectively, a young couple whose relationship is equal parts soap-operatic drama and chemistry-filled hookups.
Though the series starts with 2019's After, 2020's After We Collided is the go-to for high steam. Fresh off a breakup, Tessa and Hardin reconnect in Seattle, where they realize they can't fight their feelings. Sparks fly pretty much throughout the entire film. It hit number one on Netflix's Top Ten when it premiered in 2020 and paved the way for the romance-heavy After We Fell, which came out the following year. There are two more romance novels in the series, but the upcoming After Ever Happy will be the final film in the franchise.

For nonstop entertainment, queue up some of the best TV shows of all time.
Chloe
Released: 2009

She hires a call girl named Chloe (Amanda Seyfried) to tempt David and confirm her suspicions, but Chloe ends up seducing more than just David, complicating Catherine's situation.

Closer
Released: 2004
Rated: R
Director: Mike Nichols
Closer was one of the last movies Mike Nichols directed and is among his most critically acclaimed films. Based on Patrick Marber's play, the film stars Julia Roberts, Clive Owen, Natalie Portman, and Jude Law as lovers who are caught in a web of lies and deception.
Though the film is not a musical, the storyline was based on Mozart's opera Così fan tutte, which is about four lovers dealing with infidelity, hidden identities, and forgiveness. It's one of the most award-winning films on this list: Owen and Portman won Golden Globes for their performances and were nominated for Oscars as well.
Newness
Released: 2017
Rated: TV-MA
Director: Drake Doremus
Depending on how you look at it, Newness is either a depressing look at what dating is like these days or an optimistic movie about the hoops we'll jump through for the perfect mate. Though no matter how you look at it, it's one of the sexiest movies on Netflix.
When Martin (Nicholas Hoult) and Gabriella (Laia Costa) meet on a dating app, the attraction is instant, and they move in together. Soon, though, they cheat on each other. When they decide to pursue an open relationship, even more jealousy and complications ensue. If you've seen the Hulu TV show The Great, you know Hoult is eminently likable (even when he's playing a murderous tyrant), and Newness just solidifies his sexy charm.
Friendzone
Released: 2021
Rated: TV-MA
Director: Charles Van Tieghem
Netflix has invested a lot into its international titles, and Friendzone is one of the many stellar French films available on the platform. It's a rom-com about a guy name Thibault who has a plethora of female friends, many of whom he once dated, but no real prospects. Friendzone is to France what comedy movies like Just Friends are to the United States. It's packed with will-they-or-won't-they vibes and some hilarious yet sexy scenes as Thibault tries to be more appealing to the opposite sex.
Elisa and Marcela
Released: 2019
Rated: TV-MA
Director: Isabel Coixet
What would you do for love? That's the basic question asked in Elisa and Marcela, one of the sexiest films on Netflix. Based on real events, the Spanish drama movie focuses on the relationship between Marcela Gracia Ibeas (Greta Fernández) and Elisa Sanchez Loriga (Natalia de Molina), who became the first women in Spain to get married to each other. Follow the women from their meeting to their most intimate and tender moments and their eventual wedding in 1901. Filmed in black and white, the steamy moments have an art-house vibe that makes them even sexier.
Wild Things
Released: 1998
Rated: R
Director: John McNaughton
When Wild Things came out in 1998, it was panned by critics who called it trashy and campy, thanks to its crass plot and three-way sex scene between Denise Richards, Neve Campbell, and Matt Dillon. Over 20 years later, it's a cult classic movie because it's just ridiculously fun.
In the film, Richards and Campbell star as high school students Kelly and Suzie, who accuse their guidance counselor, Sam (Dillon), of being a sexual predator. He's not; instead, the three were lying to scam Kelly's mother out of millions of dollars. Once they get their money, they do what any sleazy scammer would do: have sex in a dingy hotel room. The movie is a romp in every sense, and its infamy is well-earned because it's, well, wild.
Ride or Die
Released: 2021
Rated: TV-MA
Director: Ryūichi Hiroki
One of the sexiest movies on Netflix, Ride or Die is based on a Japanese manga of the same name and stars Kiko Mizuhara as Rei, a doctor who is in love with her friend Nanae (Honami Sato). Rei is aware that Nanae is being abused by her husband, so she seduces and kills him to be with Nanae. With their biggest obstacle out of the way, the pair go on a road trip in an effort to reconnect and rediscover each other physically and emotionally.
The two female leads are huge stars in Japan, and their participation in the adventurous love scenes in the film was a large part of the public conversation when the film premiered.
Duck Butter
Released: 2018
Rated: TV-MA
Director: Miguel Arteta
Duck Butter is the story of what happens when you try to cram an entire relationship—all of its ups, downs, getting-to-know-yous, and sexy times—into one 24-hour period. We've all felt the electricity that sparks when we first spot someone we like, and the movie does a fantastic job capturing the magic and seeing what happens when a young couple (portrayed Alia Shawkat and Laia Costa) tries to make every waking moment count. If you're looking for an LGBTQ+ story that turns up the heat, press play on this flick.
365 Days
Released: 2020
Rated: TV-MA
Directors: Barbara Bialowas and Tomasz Mandes
365 Days is, in a nutshell, the Polish Fifty Shades of Grey. But fans don't seem to mind: In 2020, the film spent ten days as Netflix's number movie in the United States. Laura Biel (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) is a Warsaw native who isn't terribly happy in her relationship. When she and her boyfriend take a holiday to Sicily, a mob boss there becomes entranced by her beauty and kidnaps her, giving her 365 days to fall in love with him.
At first, Laura refuses his advances, but as in the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale this is roughly based on, she realizes she's falling for him. Once that happens, their sexual chemistry is off the charts.
MILF
Released: 2018
Rated: TV-MA
Director: Axelle Lafont
MILF is reminiscent of classic romantic movies like How Stella Got Her Groove Back: A group of female friends of a certain age (their 40s—gasp!) take a vacation to a gorgeous beach paradise—in this case, it's the south of France—and let their inhibitions run wild with the younger men they meet. The guys refer to the three main women in the film as MILFs, and if you're unfamiliar with the term, let's just say it's a backhanded compliment for a sexy woman with kids.

Eventually, no one is safe from Holly, and if she can't have Tyler, no one can. Despite the high school setting, this teen movie turns the heat up to ten.
Lust Stories
Released: 2018
Rated: TV-MA
Directors: Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, Karan Johar
Judging from the title alone, it's safe to say that Lust Stories is one of the sexiest movies on Netflix. An anthology of four different shorts, each one told from the viewpoint of an Indian woman, the film touches on everything from forbidden romance to adultery to female desire and satisfaction. The filmmakers are some of India's finest, and the stories, which tackle issues that can often be taboo in Indian filmmaking, are beautifully rendered. Need further convincing? Lust Stories is also certified 100 percent fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Art of Loving
Released: 2017
Rated: TV-MA
Director: Maria Sadowska
The Art of Loving was a guide to intimacy and sex written by Polish sexologist Michalina Wislocka in the 1970s, and this film is the story of her life and her efforts to educate men and women about the art of the female orgasm. Wislocka herself led an unconventional life as part of a polyamorous relationship, and the film isn't shy about showing how her personal experiences in bed informed her professional life, and vice versa. It's a fascinating biopic about a woman who clearly enjoys her own sexual liberation and who's seeking to normalize what were once considered taboo subjects.
